Beta Terms & Field Safety

Decision support, not navigation

Fishtel is fishing research and decision-support software. It is not a navigation product, emergency service, safety-of-life system, or substitute for official charts, Notices to Mariners, local knowledge or prudent seamanship.

Weather and water conditions

Forecasts, tides, modeled currents and map layers can be delayed, unavailable, approximate or wrong. Actual field conditions outrank Fishtel. Lightning, sea state, wind, visibility, access restrictions and official warnings must be evaluated independently.

Fishing regulations

Species identification and regulation material is educational. Verify current rules with the competent government authority before harvesting fish. If identification or legal status is uncertain, release the fish safely.

Access

A map marker or fishing recommendation does not grant access rights. Confirm ramp, parking, property, sanctuary, closure and local restrictions before entering or fishing an area.

Beta reliability

The closed beta can contain defects, stale data or temporary outages. Testers should report incorrect recommendations, broken controls, privacy concerns and source failures rather than relying on the software as a sole authority.

Responsible use

Do not use Fishtel to interfere with other anglers, expose another person's private fishing location, violate law, trespass, or create unsafe boating or shore-fishing behavior.
